AY Aerial Yoga strongly recommends that practitioners adhere to the suggested dress code to avoid injury and to maintain hygiene:
- Sleeved tops/t-shirts– Choose clothing that cover your armpits. This way your sweat doesn’t touch the fabric and the fabric won’t chafe your skin. Women may want to consider tucking their shirt in to prevent it from riding up during inversions.
- Socks – They help you climb into the fabric, as well as being a hygienic option to keep your hammock clean for you as well as for others. In addition, socks help you come to a stop easily when you place your foot down on the floor.
Please avoid:
- Any jewellery, especially dangly earrings or chunky rings etc.
- Perfumes (they could cling to the fabric)
- Loose fitting clothing
- Untied long hair
Q. Dizziness with Aerial workout?
A: Consuming ginger candy before an Aerial class could help avoid the sensation of dizziness. If in case this occurs, please listen to your body and slow down or take a break, especially if there is discomfort.
